"Nationalists, Machiavelli, and Baccarat: Observations of an American Diplomat in Hong Kong and Macau" An off the record discussion with Robert Kokta BK'00 from the US Consulate. Mr Kokta will offer observations on his work as a vice consul for political affairs, followed by a free flowing Q&A. Robert Kokta is Vice Consul for Political Affairs at the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong. He was previously posted in Belgrade, Serbia. Prior to joining the State Department, Mr. Kokta was active in local, state, and federal-level politics, served on Capitol Hill for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and worked at policy think tanks in Washington and Berlin. Mr. Kokta has a Master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University (BK'00).
