Eli Yale's 367th Birthday Party

Elihu Yale was born on April 5th, 1649, in the house his father owned on Pemberton Hill - right here in Boston. Though he grew up primarily in England and spent much of his adult life in India, our university's namesake came into the world in Massachusetts.

Join us to celebrate old Eli's birthday - he's 367 years young this April! - at the Kinsale, which sits about on the site of the house where he was born. Appetizers and a birthday cake will be provided by the YaleBoston Young Alumni Committee, but this event is of course open to the whole Yale community!

Copies of A History of the Yale Alumni Association of Boston and its Vicinity will be available to peruse and purchase. As is traditional, the party will conclude with a pilgrimage to the Elihu Yale plaque in Pemberton Square and the old Yale Club of Boston building on Derne Street.
