Highest rank in school history
YSN was ranked number five among US graduate nursing schools in the latest issue of US News & World Report, the highest ranking in school history. “We are thrilled with this result,” said Dean Ann Kurth ’90MSN. “To achieve the highest ranking in our nearly 100-year history speaks to an incredible team effort within our school. We are privileged to engage with the highest-caliber students, whose curiosity is inspired and encouraged by the pedagogy and research of our outstanding faculty.” Looking beyond national rankings to the school’s international standing, YSN is also in the top ten of the QS World University Rankings.

The event was the most recent in the Yale Explores series, and nearly 400 alumni, parents, and community members attended the program.
Equity in health care
A variety of programs celebrated Black History Month in February, including two featured speakers who led discussions at West Campus. Dr. Anaya Elliott presented a talk on being black transgender in the American health-care system, and James Rawlings ’80MPH discussed how exemplar models of collaboration can promote equity. Both speakers were enthusiastically received by the students, faculty, and staff who attended both events.
