Website promotes work of recent graduates

Over the summer, the School of Art joined with seven other art MFA programs in launching MFA Index, an online platform showcasing the work of recent graduates whose studies were impacted by COVID-19. On the growing web platform, you can browse artists by school, year, and keyword, and view relevant artists as a grid, list, or slideshow. View the work of participating 2020 and 2021 MFA graduates from the School of Art.

Remembering graphic design alumnus

Passionate designer and educator Edvin Yegir ’95MFA (graphic design) recently passed away in a motorcycle accident; he was 58 years old. Class Action Collective, a group founded at the School of Art that employs design to address social change (and which counted Yegir as a member), remembered their beloved friend and colleague:

“Edvin’s graphic design practice was marked by an intense engagement with typographic form and its expressive qualities. His studio, Typotopia, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was devoted to strategic and formally innovative communication design for commercial and cultural clients. Edvin will be remembered by classmates, colleagues, and students for his kind, passionate, loyal, and generous nature; his great love of books; his belief in challenging dominant power structures; his fantastic hair and little round glasses; and his infectious laugh.”
