Yale critic leads design at the Met
Senior critic in graphic design Susan Sellers ’94MA has been appointed head of design at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. In her new position Sellers will oversee the museum’s design department which is responsible for all of the institution’s design needs, including signage, print materials, exhibitions, and gallery installations at both the museum’s main building and at the Cloisters, its branch location specializing in medieval art and architecture. Sellers has taught and lectured widely, and has published articles in a number of design journals. She is a founding partner at the New York design studio 2x4, and has been on the Yale School of Art faculty since 1997.
Photographer named director of undergraduate studies
Lisa Kereszi ’00MFA, a photographer whose work is found in many private and public collections, has been named the director of undergraduate studies in art at the School of Art. Kereszi has been on faculty at Yale since 2004, first as a lecturer and then as acting director of undergraduate studies in photography. She has also taught at NYU, Massachusetts College of Art, and Parsons, among others. Her work has been shown in group and solo shows around the country, and has appeared in numerous books and magazines, including the New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, GQ, and House & Garden.
