Dancing on campus
In the spring 2025 semester, Sidra Bell ’01 returned to Yale to lead an EveryBody Dances class at the Schwarzman Center. A leading figure in contemporary dance, Bell is well known for her innovative choreography, which has been commissioned by New York City Ballet and performed worldwide. Her company, Sidra Bell Dance New York, has been at the forefront of experimental movement for more than two decades. Her community master class, presented at no cost for all, brought together dancers of all levels to explore her distinctive approach that offered a rare opportunity to learn from an artist whose work continues to shape the future of dance.
