Coming up at the Yale Rep
Yale Rep’s 2025–26 season will be the final season for James Bundy ’95MFA as artistic director. Bundy has served since 2002 as Elizabeth Parker Ware Dean of David Geffen School of Drama.
The season will open with the world premiere of Zora Neale Hurston’s Spunk, a play with music adapted by Hurston from her own short story, directed by Tamilla Woodard ’02MFA and running October 3–25. Bundy directs Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, translated from the Norwegian by Paul Walsh (faculty); it plays November 28–December 19. The Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company Touring Production of ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, an award-winning solo show created and performed by Julia Masli and directed by Kim Noble, runs January 4–20. Eugene Ionesco’s Rhinoceros, translated by Derek Prouse in an adaptation by Frank Galati directed by Liz Diamond (faculty), will play March 6–28. The season will conclude April 24 to May 16 with Furlough’s Paradise by a. k. payne ’19, ’23MFA, winner of the prestigious 2025 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and directed by abigail jean-baptiste.
