Professor elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences
The American Academy of Arts & Sciences has elected Leighton Homer Surbeck Professor of Law Cristina Rodríguez ’95, ’00JD, to its 2020 member class. Professor Rodríguez’s fields of research include constitutional law and theory, immigration law and policy, administrative law and process, and citizenship theory. She has used immigration law and related areas as vehicles through which to explore how the allocation of power shapes the management and resolution of legal and political conflict. Rodríguez joined Yale Law School in 2013 after serving for two years as deputy assistant attorney general in the Office of Legal Counsel at the US Department of Justice. She is a non-resident fellow at the Migration Policy Institute, a member of the American Law Institute, and past member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Law School community shares expertise on COVID-19
Members of the Yale Law School community have been active in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, offering expertise in their respective fields from health care to national security to the economy.
