Dean visits global SOM family

Over the last year, Dean Kerwin Charles has joined alumni gatherings across three continents, meeting with hundreds of alumni in gatherings large and small. At every stop, he participated in numerous meetings, in addition to public gatherings, to advance the school’s effort to build relationships with recruiters, strengthen the admissions pipeline, raise financial resources, and increase alumni engagement. “Wherever they are around the world, this school’s graduates care in a very palpable way about the mutual effort to educate leaders for business and society,” Charles said.

Alumni share stories at colloquium

Yale SOM alumni Mark Walton ’79MPPM and Anna Blanding ’03, ’09MBA, were the keynote speakers at the third Donald H. Ogilvie ’78 Colloquium on May 3, titled “The Evolution of Business and Society” and moderated by Camila Novo-Viano ’25MBA. Walton and Blanding discussed their personal values and the Yale SOM experiences that have guided them through careers in media and impact investing. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni who had convened for reunion weekend participated in the broad conversation. Hosted by Yale SOM’s Council on Anti-Racism and Equity, the colloquium brings professionals of color to campus for conversations with students.
