It's a Yale tradition almost as hallowed as singing "Bright College Years": jaywalking across Elm Street between York and College. But in September, the Yale Police raised students' hackles by issuing citations -- albeit without fines -- to anyone who crossed outside the crosswalk. A few days later, spray-painted crosswalks mysteriously appeared in the middle of Elm Street and in other frequent jaywalking spots on campus (like High Street, pictured here). Consider it traffic control for the Wikipedia Age.
