(The goal was increased from $3 billion just a few months before the financial collapse of 2008.) Campaign giving in the fiscal year that ended in June was significantly lower than in past years, but vice president for development Inge Reichenbach says the final year has gotten off to a better start than any of the previous years. The campaign ends officially on June 30.
