About 3,500 alumni participated in the third annual Yale Day of Service, at 253 sites around the world, on May 14. Photos submitted to our Day of Service Photo Contest showed Yalies rebuilding nature trails, packing medical supplies to ship overseas, recycling hotel toiletries for the homeless, and more. But as our winning photo demonstrates, they also serve who only sit in air conditioning. Volunteers from the Yale Alumni Association of Metropolitan New York are shown here conducting mock job interviews with immigrant job seekers, in collaboration with a nonprofit group called Upwardly Global.
