Starting next year, Yale College Programs of Study—the course catalogue known to generations of undergrads as the Blue Book—will be available only online. Use of the print version has been in decline: this year only 42 percent of upperclassmen requested a paper copy. (All freshmen received copies.) Still, alumni who remember leafing through its pages at the start of a term, dizzied by the possibilities, may feel a bit blue about its demise.
