When Mick Jagger landed in Cusco, Peru, in October, the city’s new museum for artifacts from Machu Picchu wasn’t quite open yet. But if you’re a rock legend, sometimes you can get satisfaction.

Officials gave a sneak preview to the Rolling Stones front man, who was the first person to sign the visitors’ book at the UNSAAC–Yale International Center for the Study of Machu Picchu and Inca Culture. The items in the center’s collection were housed at Yale for nearly a hundred years before being returned to Peru last year.
