Bean announced it would open a store in New Haven’s Broadway district in April, it put its best foot forward. The company brought its “Bootmobile,” a rolling effigy of its well-known hunting boot, to Broadway for an appearance with Yale and New Haven officials. The new two-level store, scheduled to open in 2018, will occupy part of a new apartment building Yale is building for graduate students on a former Elm Street parking lot.
