Beauty and the Beetle: Coleoptera in Art and Science

Artist Gar Waterman uses a bricolage technique to construct metal sculptures of beetles out of spare parts. This exhibition displays the sculptures alongside large-scale photographs of beetles by William Guth and real specimens from the Peabody’s collections.

“Tomorrow’s Overture is Always Best”: The Music of Kay Swift

This exhibition about the work of Kay Swift (1897–1993), the first woman to compose the complete score of a successful Broadway musical (Fine and Dandy, in 1930), was curated by Emma Hathaway ’17, who wrote her senior essay on Swift.
