Every year, Yale alumni five years out from graduation elect a new member of Yale’s Board of Trustees—also known as the Yale Corporation—for a six-year term. This year, alumni who graduated from Yale before 2014 have until May 19 to vote. (Eligible voters should have received information in April by US mail or e-mail.)

Alumni will choose between two candidates. Ann Miura-Ko ’98 (top left), who got a PhD from Stanford in math modeling of cybersecurity, is a cofounder and managing partner of Floodgate, a venture capital firm in Palo Alto, California. She is also a lecturer in engineering at Stanford. Carol McPhillips Roberts ’81 (bottom left), of Collierville, Tennessee, retired in 2017 as chief financial officer of International Paper, where she worked for 36 years. She is a cofounder of Yale WISER, an organization that supports women athletes at Yale.
