Bob HandelmanView full imageIn the Music Shed at Yale’s summer music school in Norfolk, Connecticut, on July 30, six string players performed an extraordinary piece by the little-known composer Erwin Schulhoff (1894–1942)—who was outré enough that he once composed a piece made up only of rests.
