Two candidates for alumni trustee

Mariko Silver '99 and Michael Singer '95, '00PhD, '02MD.

Yale alumni have until May 17 to cast their votes in the annual election of a member of Yale’s Board of Trustees. This year’s candidates, selected by the Alumni Fellow Nominating Committee, are Mariko Silver ’99 (left) of New York City and Michael Singer ’95, ’00PhD, ’02MD (right), of Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

Silver, who holds a PhD in economic geography from UCLA, is president and CEO of Lincoln Center, the performing arts campus in Manhattan. She was president of Bennington College from 2013 to 2019. Singer, who earned his Yale PhD in neuroscience, is cofounder and director of Cartesian Therapeutics, a biotech company. He serves on the Yale for Humanity campaign committee and the School of Medicine’s Scientific Advisory Board.

All Yale graduates are eligible to vote, except for Yale College alumni less than five years out. Ballots were sent in April, along with additional biographical information on the two candidates. Alumni who haven’t yet received their ballots should write to [email protected].
