Scene on CampusCommencement 1926A Yale College class picture from 100 years ago. “Elmer (Pink) Lupton would be celebrating his 100th anniversary as a proud member of the class of 1926,” his son Elmer C. (Neil) Lupton Jr. ’69PhD told YAM in an email this spring. Having found his father’s class photo (shown here) in a long forgotten box in his basement, Neil Lupton hasn’t been able to figure out which of the men pictured is his father—“he didn’t have hair in my memory,” says the son, ruefully. But he does remember that his father’s degree “was a PhB rather than a BA because he hadn’t taken Latin.” Elmer (Pink) Lupton died in 1979.
