After college, he served as a PV-2 bomber pilot in the US Naval Air Force in the Pacific theater from 1942 to 1945, before earning a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. For much of his professional career, he worked for the Union Carbide Corporation in New York, where he developed one of the company's first affirmative action programs. A full obituary appeared in the Santa Fe New Mexican from October 13 to 15, 2013. |
