In Remembrance: Charles Whitney Drake Jr. ’58PhD Died on November 29 2013

Charles Whitney Drake Jr. died November 29, 2013, in Bend, Oregon. After serving as a radio technician during World War II, Drake obtained degrees in physics and went on to work for Westinghouse, where he helped develop the radiation shield for the atomic reactor of the Nautilus, the US Navy's first atomic submarine. Later he served for several years on the Yale faculty in physics.
