In Remembrance: Richard J. Turner ’42 ’47PhD  Died on December 5 2013

Richard J. Turner, who devoted his career to developing medical and surgical devices, died December 5, 2013 in Southbury, Connecticut. He was 93. Turner obtained his bachelor of science and doctorate in organic chemistry from Yale. After starting Turner Associates, he developed the first biodegradable synthetic suture.
