In Remembrance: Jarvis Streeter ’82STM Died on December 23 2013

Jarvis Streeter, a much-loved California Lutheran University (CLU) religion professor, died of pancreatic cancer at his home on December 23, 2013, at age 64. A professor at CLU for 25 years, Jarvis was a widely read scholar who conveyed complex theological issues in plain language that resonated with students. He connected with students beyond the classroom as well, acting in plays with them, performing in bands with them, and officiating their weddings. The Class of 1991 named him Professor of the Year and he recerived the President's Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004, and an Honorary Alumnus Award in April, 2013.

CLU published a full obituary on December 24, 2013.
