ObituariesIn Remembrance: Wyatt Garfield ’48 Died on August 4 2014Wyatt “Wye” Garfield, of Mystic, Connecticut, and Cuttyhunk, Massachchusetts, died August 4, 2014, at the age of 89. After serving in the navy towards the end of World War II, he graduated from Yale and Middlebury and embarked on a career in education, first at Pomfret School in Connecticut and later at Bancroft School in Massachusetts. He was the great-grandson of US president James A. Garfield. A full obituary appeared in the New London (Connecticut) Day on August 7, 2014. |
