I am saddened to learn of Jeff's death, He was a very influential person in my life in Delaware, Ohio. Both at William Street United Methodist Church and Methodist Theological School of Ohio, where I was a student. I had lost my way mainly due to my inability to maturely cope with a messy relationship, that was 47 years ago and now I am on a path where I realize I have not completed my chosen journey with Delaware and MTSO. I was desiring to engage Dr. Hopper with my endeavor to continue my contribution to Liberation Theology. At the time of this remembrance, 04-06-24, I was looking to contact Jeff and ask for his collaboration in this project. This is when I learned of his death and also his personal involvement in the 1960's in another major journey of liberation in the south. Thank you Jeff for all the things you did that I never realized how valuable you were to me. My journey forward will carry his memory with me. I am almost 85 now, but my journey is not complete, I am just getting started.
