ObituariesIn Remembrance: Donald Lee Harran ’57 Died on June 14 2016Don Harran (known as Donald Hersh at Yale) passed away on June 14, 2016, in Israel, where he had lived since 1963. He was a world-renowned musicologist, a specialist on Renaissance music, Jewish musicians, and Jewish music theorists of sixteenth- and seventeenth-centry Italy. At his death he was the Artur Rubinstein Professor Emeritus of Musicology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where he had taught since 1966. —Submitted by the family. |
