In Remembrance: Donald Etra ’68 Died on January 29 2017

Donald Etra died on January 29, 2017, at the age of 69. He was a renowned criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles, representing a number of prominent entertainers.

The Jewish Journal carried a full obituary on January 31, 2017.

I am writing my memoir and looked up my old friend, who I first met in the cafeteria at the DOJ in DC. Sadly saw that Don died too young six plus years ago. In addition to being a superb lawyer, he was an exceptionally generous and kind human being. As his "his tribe" would say a real mensch. He did me many personal and professional favors.
