In Remembrance: George Winters Rogers Jr. '49 Died on May 9 2017

George Winters Rogers Jr. '49, 90, passed away on May 9, 2017.  From 1952 to 1977, he represented Vicksburg in the Mississippi House of Representatives.  He once appeared before the Supreme Court.  President Carter's Director of Central Intelligence asked him to serve on his senior staff.  This April, George was honored with the Rabbi Perry Nussbaum Civil Justice Award, which is dedicated to men and women who have stood against racial bigotry and religious prejudice.
