In Remembrance: John Fisher Gratz, Jr. '52 Died on May 20 2017

John Fisher Gratz, Jr. '52, 85, passed away on May 20, 2017 in St. Helena, California.  After studying music at Yale under such composers as Aaron Copeland and Paul Hindemith, he went to medical school, practicing radiology for forty years in various small local hospitals outside Memphis.  During his lifetime, Gratz sold one of his songs to Frank Sinatra, while another was premiered at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
