Perkins Jr., 96, passed away on April 15, 2017. “Sonny” or “Perk,” as he was known to many, served in the Army Corps of Engineers in Burma during World War II. He then spent 59 years at the Henry Perkins Company foundry started by his great-grandfather, Henry, in 1848. He was a voracious and eclectic reader.
