In Remembrance: Lewis Rowland ’45W, ’48MD Died on March 16 2017

Lewis Rowland ’45W, ’48MD, 91, passed away on March 16, 2017.  He was a neurologist and researcher, with nearly 500 published scientific articles, and chairman of neurology at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, before returning to Columbia to occupy the same position until 1998, when he retired.  He was president of the American Neurological Association.  He was an expert in ALS, or Lour Gehrig's disease.
