ObituariesIn Remembrance: Gordon S. Cook ’53 Died on July 27 2017CDR Gordon S. Cook was born on December 23, 1931, in Queens, New York, and received his BA from Yale College in 1953. As a Navy chaplain, his military career took him to Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his service with the USMC. He was present on the USS Pierce when it intercepted a Russian trawler during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He passed away on July 27, 2017. A full obituary can be found here in the Charlotte Observer. |
