Dr. Liu was an early mentor of mine when 1 joined the Westinghouse R&D Center, near Pittsburgh, right out of college. We had many discussions, both technical-related and on life, itself. I was fortunate to run into Dr.Liu a few years back at Pittsburgh Spectroscopic Society meeting, where we had a pleasant discussion over lunch. I was sorry to hear of his passing recently, even though it occurred several years ago.

    He will be missed.
