I attended studio art classes with Bob who also was an accomplished painter at the time in the Art School, which was a separate but linked venue in Fine Arts then. It eventually moved to the then-main campus, now the North Buffalo “old” /original campus of UB.
He was a kind, shy student but devoted to his craft. We were friends until I graduated and moved to NYC to earn a M.A. in Art History/ African Art at Columbia university Graduate School. i visited him and his wife briefly when I visited Buffalo to see friends and family there. I am delighted he became an art professor at Buffalo State and was able to share his insights and artistic skill with students
