Karole briefly left Yale to serve in the Navy and returned to complete his degree in industrial administration in 1946. Karole spent the following 32 years working at American Appraisal before retiring in 1990. In his free time, Karole enjoyed spending time with his family, reading the newspaper, and playing golf.
