In Remembrance: William Reeves Jr. ’56, ’63Div Died on September 16 2019

Rev. William Reeves passed away on September 16, 2019, in Virginia. He was 85. His dual career — in education and ministry — found him serving at schools in Hawaii and Virginia and ministering to numerous congregations wherever he went.

A full obituary appeared in the Richmond Times-Dispatch on September 23, 2019.

    Father Reeves was a splendid teacher of mine at Iolani School, and then, as the school's director of college admissions, the person responsible for my acceptance and attendance at Yale. He was the first progressive Christian clergyman I ever came in contact with.
