In Remembrance: James R. Greenfield ’50JD Died on September 5 2019

James R. Greenfield died peacefully on September 5, 2019, at the age of 93. An attorney, he practiced in New Haven until retirement in 2012, specializing in matrimonial law.

A full obituary appeared in the New Haven Register on September 10, 2019.

As a spouse of a YLS alumnus and as a very good friend of Joyce Greenfield, I would like to mention something about Jim Greenfield as I knew him. He was always the consummate gentleman and I can only imagine how passionate he was about the law. I got the impression that he was meticulous, conscientious, respectful and caring. I'm sure the profession has felt the loss.
