Barry was a dear friend and an amazing human being. We met next door to one another, as freshman at Yale, and remained friends for over fifty years. He showed me every kindness you could imagine-- always thoughtful, kind, caring, and generous. Did perhaps the biggest favor anyone every did for me, nominating a friend who is a worthy animal rights activist for the Nobel Peace Prize. I remain close friends with his wife Jasmin and daughter Miriam, and think about them all everyday. You will be forever missed, my friend. There is a void here without you. Nathan
