In Remembrance: Curtis S. Moore ’63 Died on January 1 2024

Curtis S. Moore passed away in early January 2024. Curtis was the son of Charles B. Moore ’20 and became a well known writer, having majored in philosophy and ranking high in his Yale class. He received his MA from the University of California in 1974 and his PhD at University of California–Berkeley. His doctoral dissertation was “Objects of Pure Mathematics Construed as Imaginary Objects.” Later Curtis taught at the University of California—Yuba College. His area of specialization related to foundational logic, philosophy of science, metaphysics and epistemology, and ethics.
Curtis was acclaimed nationally for writing one of his books, A Model Constitution for a Democratic Economy.  —Submitted by his family.
