In Remembrance: Diane Kasprowicz ’89MFA Died on July 21 2013

Diane Elizabeth Kasprowicz ’89MFA passed away peacefully at her home in Shaker Heights, Ohio, on July 21, 2013, her 55th birthday. She is survived by her husband James Lyon, son Otto (18) and daughter Greth (16) as well as her parents, Alfred and Meg Kasprowicz of Waukesha, WI, sister Heidi O'Connor (John) and brothers Al Jr. (Geri) and Paul Kasprowicz (Sarah) as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Diane received a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota, and began her career in Minneapolis working for the firm Bentz, Thompson, Rietow. She later moved to Boston and worked as a senior designer for Graham Gund Architects, designing several prominent buildings in Boston as well as a campus town center for Mount Holyoke College and the Public Library in Lincoln, MA. After receiving her MFA in graphic design from the Yale School of Art in 1989, Diane worked for Group C in New Haven designing and editing books, including a monograph for the architect Eric Owen Moss and a retrospective on the art of Cindy Sherman.
