ObituariesIn Remembrance: Albert P. Moras ’75 Died on February 19 2025Albert “Al” Patrick Moras suddenly passed away in Ridgewood, New Jersey, on February 19, 2025. He was born on April 20, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio, to Theresa Moody Moras and Albert Moras. Al attended Yale University, graduating in 1975 where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on administrative science and operations research. While at Yale, he was the starting left tackle for their football team from 1972 to 1974, starting every game. In his junior and senior years, he earned First Team All-Ivy honors. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed a graduate degree in management with a concentration in banking and finance at Case Western Reserve University. Al built a distinguished career in finance, holding leadership roles across various institutions. He served as CEO of QV Trading and throughout his career held various fixed income and liquidity positions at other firms before transitioning into financial advising, where he most recently joined PNC Investments. Beyond his professional life, Al was a thoughtful, loving husband and father. He preferred to spend quiet evenings at home surrounded by his family; but throughout his lifetime he enjoyed fishing, daily gym workouts, baking cookies, solving mathematical equations, and making his family laugh with stories or quips. Al is survived by his wife, Beth Powell Moras; his children, Albert Moras, Madison Moras, and Andrew Moras; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Moras; his siblings, Antonia Moras (Chuck Beirnard), Nancy Moras (late Lewis Wilk), and Michael Moras; his sister-in-law Pamela Miles (Walt), his brother-in-law Dean Powell (Katherine), and many loving nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Yale Football Association or the American Cancer Society. —Submitted by the family. |
