In Remembrance: James M. Owen ’65 Died on December 16 2025

James Milton Owen (Jim) died peacefully at his home in Hanover, New Hampshire, with Suzanne, his wife of 52 years, and his daughter Hilary Goldblatt, Yale 2000, at his side. They led good lives in Lexington, Massachusetts, and Trenton and Bar Harbor, Maine, and spent much of it on the water sailing out of Marion, Massachusetts, and Bar Harbor. More entrepreneurial than legal-minded, “Captain” Jim grew Better Boating Association, publisher of navigation and digital charts, to cover the whole US Coast, the Bahamas, and the Virgin Islands.
