In Remembrance: Karen E. Burrell ’86PhD Died on May 26 2026

Karen E. Burrell passed away on May 26, 2026, from complications of ALS. She was 70. She spent her career teaching, holding faculty positions at Rutgers University, Austin College and Mary Washington University.

A full obituary appeared in the Fredericksburg, Virginia, Free Lance–Star on May 31, 2026.
