After graduating from the Yale School of Forestry in 1948, Francis moved to DeLand, Florida where he opened his own business—Clifton Timber and Realty—to offer his expertise as a forester and realtor. A multitalented U.S. veteran, Francis had flown PBYs on rescue and reconnaissance missions as a Navy Pilot, during World War II. A full obituary was published in the Daytona Beach News-Journal on July 17, 2013. |
