Gertrude Louise Murphy Gould died July 26, 2013, in Macomb, Illinois. She was 96. She had retired from the Apple Creek State Hospital in Ohio, where she worked for more than 25 years.

An obituary appeared in the McDonough County Voice on August 14, 2013.
