In Remembrance: Arthur Collins Williams ’43 Died on September 28 2013

Arthur Collins Williams of Fairfield, Connecticut, and Landgrove, Vermont, died peacefully at home on September 28. He is survived by his four children. Attending Yale College and Yale Law School, he was awarded the Air Medal with two gold stars for missions in the Battle of Okinawa and retired from the Marine Corps Reserve with the rank of major. Because of his military service and his golf successes, he enjoyed a life-long nickname, "Ace." Mr. Williams was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1948 and subsequently the federal courts, including the US Supreme Court and the US Tax Court. In 2011 Mr. Williams was inducted into the Connecticut Golf Hall of Fame.
