Manternach, a longtime senior partner at the law firm Robinson & Cole who also served on the boards of numerous companies and organizations, passed away on Sept. 21, 2013 at the age of 99. During World War II, Manternach served in the Legal Division of the Quartermaster General's Office in Washington, D.C. and as Chief of the Legal Branch of the joint Army-Navy Purchasing Office in New York City.
