Spring 2025 MFA thesis exhibitions

Please join us during the Spring 2025 semester for thesis exhibitions in all four areas of graduate study, alongside an undergraduate thesis show. Graduating painting/printmaking MFAs begin the exhibition series with a show in two parts: Group 1 will be installed January 20–29, and Group 2 will be open February 8–17. Sculpture MFAs follow, with a two-part show beginning March 1–9 and concluding March 25–April 2. The MFA Thesis Exhibition in Photography follows, April 12–19. Then, the graduating art majors at Yale College stage their undergraduate show April 29–May 6. Finally, the graduating MFAs in graphic design will present their thesis work May 15–20. 

Yale School of Art’s Spring 2025 receptions are open to the public. During all other gallery hours, exhibitions are only open to the Yale Community (current ID holders) and their invited accompanied guests. Please consult our public events calendar at yaleart.org/publicevents for public reception dates for the spring exhibitions as they become available.

Pilot exchange program

The Yale School of Art and NYU Abu Dhabi launched a pilot post-MFA residency exchange program during the Fall 2024 semester. One member of a recently graduated class from each institution is spending the semester on campus at the exchange school where they are provided studio space. 

For the pilot year, Chinaedu Nwadibia ’22MFA was selected among recent School of Art graduates to travel to Abu Dhabi this semester, and Majd Alloush, NYUAD ’23MFA, was chosen from the recent NYUAD cohort to come to New Haven, as the first graduates to participate in this residency exchange.

As this pilot program nears conclusion, the Yale School of Art and NYU Abu Dhabi hope to continue this residency exchange so that future alumni might benefit from greater community support in the years following graduation.
