The search for a new dean
A search is under way to find a new dean for the School of Art to take over when the current dean, Robert Storr, steps down at the end of his second term in 2016. Since Storr first became dean in 2006, the school has embraced a more diverse curriculum, encouraged newer modes of art and design, and strengthened its endowment. A search committee was formed in April of this year with the task of identifying candidates who will build upon Dean Storr’s accomplishments and further the work begun under his leadership. Graduates’ works travel the country
A selection of works by members of the recently graduated photography MFA class was shown this summer in galleries in New York and Los Angeles. Lovely Dark: 2015 Yale Photography Graduates exhibited first at the Danziger Gallery in New York City in June, and then traveled to the Regen Projects in West Hollywood, California, for the month of July.
